Captiva Island
Captiva Cruises depart from the South Seas Plantation resort at the far end of Captiva Island. The Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium is located on a 105-acre site in Fort Myers, just north of Colonial Boulevard east of I-75. It features nature trails, a museum, a planetarium, a 1,000 square foot butterfly aviary, picnic areas and a gift shop.

Departing from Colonial Station in Fort Myers, The Seminole Gulf Railway Dinner Train Theater provides a delicious five-course dinner and a comical murder mystery for you to solve. A typical dinner consists of a fruit and cheese platter, soup, salad, choice of entrée (such as chicken, beef or fish with accompaniments) and dessert.
The Thomas Edison and Henry Ford estates are historic landmarks in Fort Myers. Edison first built his Fort Myers home in 1886 and used this home as his winter retreat until 1931. His good friend Henry Ford became his next-door neighbor in 1915.
The Arcade Theatre is home to the Florida Repertory Theatre, and ensemble-based company established in 1998 and the only professional regional theatre in southwest Florida. The Florida Repertory Theatre offers a year-round season of contemporary plays and musicals. The building (the Arcade Theatre) is a Fort Myers landmark that was built in 1908, originally used as a vaudeville house, and later used by Thomas Edison to view his first films.
As stated in its mission, the Fort Myers Historical Museum is dedicated to preservation and interpretation of the history of the Southwest Florida area with emphasis on Fort Myers. The Museum features the history of Southwest Florida, including the Paleo Indians, the Calusa, the Seminoles, Spanish explorers and early settlers.

The JC Cruises tours depart from the Fort Myers Yacht Basin in downtown Fort Myers on the south side of the Caloosahatchee River. They offer a variety of cruises and delicious food prepared on board. JC Cruises offers a 3-hour wildlife watching Jungle Cruise on the Caloosahatchee and Orange Rivers, where you may very well see manatees, particularly in the winter months.
The Big M Casino offers Las Vegas casino-style gambling aboard its 162-foot gambling yacht, featuring nearly 200 slot machines, roulette, black jack and more. Cruises depart from Moss Marine, which is located near the sky bridge at Fort Myers Beach.
Everglades Adventures will pick you up at Fort Myers Beach (or other designated locations) for a fun-filled day in the Everglades. The tour includes an hour-long airboat ride, a tour of Everglades City, a live animal encounter where you can hold a baby alligator, lunch at the Seafood Depot Restaurant and a drive through the Big Cypress National Preserve. The Leisure Lady Casino is the newest and largest casino boat at Fort Myers Beach. This 165-foot, three-level casino boat features Las Vegas style gaming, including live poker, craps, roulette, blackjack, oasis poker and slots. Five-hour morning and evening cruises are offered Monday through Saturday and an afternoon cruise is offered on Sundays, all departing from 2080 Main Street on San Carlos Island.
Take a seaplane tour over Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island. Located on Sanibel Island, the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge is a 7,000-acre mangrove estuary, which is home to southwest Florida’s wildlife, including over 200 species of birds, alligators, raccoons and more.
